This English version is a translation provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

Article 1: Scope and purpose

These Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all passenger transport services provided by VTC en Nord as a chauffeur-driven private hire vehicle (VTC, véhicule de tourisme avec chauffeur). Any booking implies the customer’s unreserved acceptance of these Terms.

Article 2: Booking

  • Every service must be booked in advance. The vehicle can under no circumstances be hailed in the street.
  • A booking becomes firm and final once the customer has approved the quote and/or once a written agreement (email, text message) or a deposit has been received, as agreed.

Article 3: Prices and payment

  • The applicable prices are those in force at the time of booking and shown on the approved quote.
  • All prices include all taxes (VAT included).
  • Payment is made as agreed on the quote or invoice (cash, bank card, bank transfer). For business customers with an account, payment is due no later than 30 days net from the invoice date.

Article 4: Waiting time and delays

  • Pick-ups at railway stations and airports: the driver’s waiting time in the event of a delayed train or flight (or customs formalities) is included with no time limit, provided that the customer gave their flight or train number when booking. The driver adjusts to the actual arrival time.
  • Any other address (home, hotel, business, public place, etc.): 15 minutes of waiting time are included from the agreed meeting time. Beyond these 15 minutes, any extra waiting is charged at €12 including VAT for each 15-minute period or part thereof.
  • Chauffeur hire by the hour includes waiting time within the agreed radius.

Article 5: Cancellation and changes

By the customer:

  • Cancellation more than 24 hours before the start of the service is free of charge.
  • Cancellation less than 24 hours before the start of the service may be charged at 50% of the fare.
  • In the event of a last-minute cancellation (less than 2 hours before) or if the customer does not show up at the meeting point (“no-show”), 100% of the fare is payable.

By the driver: in the event of force majeure (breakdown, accident, extreme weather making the road impassable), VTC en Nord will endeavour to find an alternative solution or will refund all sums paid in full, without any further compensation.

Right of withdrawal: the French Consumer Code excludes passenger transport services from the right of withdrawal that applies to distance contracts. A confirmed booking is therefore subject to the cancellation terms above.

Article 6: Conduct on board and safety

  • All passengers must wear a seat belt.
  • Smoking (including e-cigarettes), taking narcotics and bringing alcoholic drinks to consume on board are strictly prohibited.
  • Pets are accepted only if they travel in a suitable carrier (guide dogs are accepted without restriction).
  • In the event of damage to the vehicle attributable to the customer (heavy soiling, vomiting, damage to the interior), a minimum professional cleaning charge of €150 including VAT will be invoiced, together with the actual cost of any repairs required.

Article 7: Liability

  • VTC en Nord holds professional insurance covering bodily injury and property damage caused to third parties, as required by the regulations applicable to private passenger transport (insurer: PACIFICA (groupe Crédit Agricole Assurances)).
  • The driver does everything possible to keep to journey times. However, he cannot be held liable for delays caused by events beyond his control (exceptional traffic congestion, road accidents, diversions, weather conditions, road network disruption).

Article 8: Personal data (GDPR) and disputes

  • The data collected when booking are required to process the order and for invoicing. They are never sold to third parties. Details are given in the privacy policy (in French).
  • In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts.
